What is a bold text generator?
Unicode reserves a whole block, Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols, for letters like 𝐀 (U+1D400) that render heavy in any font. A bold text generator maps A–Z, a–z and digits onto those code points, so the weight is baked into the characters themselves. Paste the result into an Instagram bio, a tweet or a Discord username and it stays bold, because no formatting was involved in the first place.

Frequently asked questions
Will bold Unicode survive an Instagram bio?
Yes. Instagram, X and Discord store bios as plain Unicode, and these letters are ordinary code points from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, so nothing gets stripped. The main places they fail are ASCII-only fields, such as login usernames and email addresses.
How do screen readers cope with bold letters?
Badly, in many cases. Some announce each glyph as “mathematical bold capital A”, which turns a sentence into a slog. Keep bold Unicode to a few words and leave longer passages plain if your audience uses assistive tech.
How is this different from pressing Ctrl+B?
Ctrl+B stores formatting alongside the text, and plain-text fields throw that formatting away on paste. Here the weight is part of the character itself, which is why the bold look follows the text wherever it goes.
